Background Information:
The Tehama County Transit Agency Board is proposing the purchase of a new 3/4-ton, 4x4 extended-cab, long-bed pickup truck to replace the existing Paratransit maintenance truck. The current maintenance vehicle has accumulated more than 290,000 miles and requires increasing maintenance and repairs to remain operational. Continued use of the vehicle is becoming less practical due to its age, mileage, and ongoing maintenance needs. The replacement vehicle will provide a reliable truck for staff to perform routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and other operational support for the Paratransit program. Replacing the current high-mileage vehicle will help reduce maintenance-related downtime and provide staff with a dependable vehicle to support ongoing Paratransit operations. The vehicle was competitively bid on September 14, 2026. Two bids were received, with Corning Ford submitting the lowest responsive bid for a 2027 Ford F-250 at a total cost of $61,836.75, including applicable fees, sales tax, and delivery.
