There is no financial impact to the FY 25/26 General Fund. PG&E settlement funds will be utilized for the purchase of the software.

Sun Ridge Systems, Inc. has decades of experience developing Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records, and Jail Management Software for public safety agencies. The company continually updates its Records Information Management System (RIMS) to ensure the platform remains current and compliant with evolving state and federal requirements, including the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) and Stop Data Reporting mandates. RIMS is a comprehensive records management solution designed to support law enforcement operations through reliable data collection, documentation, and reporting.
The proposed RIMS software is designed for mobile use on laptops and other field devices, allowing deputies and staff to efficiently document incidents and access critical information while operating in the field. This capability enables personnel to enter reports, review case details, and obtain relevant information without having to return to the office before proceeding to the next call for service.
