Financial Impact:
Services will be paid for with Mental Health realignment and/or Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) funds allocated for medically necessary services. Budget Unit is 40131 for Mental Health. There is no impact to the General Fund.
Background Information:
This is a renewal Agreement with the vendor. Placement is difficult for clients who need long-term residential care services. This Agreement will allow for the use of appropriate level facilities by Tehama County Mental Health clients. If this Agreement is not approved, clients who could be served by this facility would not be able to be placed locally and the Department would need to find another comparable facility to place clients. This not only could result in clients being placed further from home but also cause a disruption and delay in placement for clients that are deemed appropriate for
this level of care.
