Financial Impact:

Funding for this position is available through salary savings within the Department’s existing FY 25/26 budget. 

 

Background Information:

The position requires at least three years of experience in biological or physical sciences, one year of program leadership or management, and five years of hunting or trapping experience.

 

The candidate brings over two decades of experience of work in these fields, demonstrating long-term commitment, technical depth, seasoned and reliable leadership, a strong understanding of wildlife behavior and safe, effective field operations.

 

Overall, the candidate not only meets each qualification but significantly exceeds them, offering a level of experience that will strengthen the Department’s goal of effectively addressing the emerging challenges associated with the increasing wildlife activity.

 

The Personnel Office has reviewed the candidate’s qualifications and agrees with placement at Salary Range 39, Step B, upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements.
