a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Interim Executive Director to sign the Agreement with Community Care on Palm Riverside, LLC for the purpose of providing residential mental health treatment services for the rates set forth in Exhibit “B” with maximum compensation not to exceed $150,000 in any fiscal year, effective 7/1/26 and shall terminate 6/30/29 (Subject to receipt of required insurance documentation)

Financial Impact:
Budget Unit is 40131 for Mental Health. Costs of services will be paid for with Mental Health realignment funds and/or Behavioral Health Services Act dollars allocated for medically necessary services. There is no impact to the General Fund.
Background Information:
This is a renewal Agreement with the vendor for the purpose of providing residential mental health treatment services to clients in Tehama County with a primary psychiatric illness, who, as a result of their level of functioning, require placement in a secure mental health setting. The services include medical, nursing, nutrition, social, pharmaceutical, laboratory, and psychiatric services. There are very limited options for client care in facilities with the services this vendor offers.
If the Agreement is not approved, clients in need of these services would not have the benefit of vendor's programs to meet their needs and the Department would need to continue to search for adequate facilities for clients with specialty needs. This could result in disruptions and delays to much needed services for mental health clients in Tehama County.
