Financial Impact:
The adoption of the FY 2025-26 budget represents the County’s official financial plan for serving the residents of Tehama County. This document comprehensively outlines the County’s intended use of its financial resources, as well as the sources and estimated amount of all projected revenues. Approval of this agenda item formally adopts the budget and authorizes the expenditures and revenues detailed within it. Any changes to this plan during the fiscal year would require subsequent action by the Board of Supervisors.
Background Information:
As required by California Government Code Section 29080 et seq., the Board must meet for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on the Adopted Budget prior to making a final determination and allow for comment regarding items in the proposed Adopted Budget for the inclusion of additional items.
The Board may modify and/or accept the proposed budget revisions as presented. If needed, the hearing may be continued from day to day until concluded but shall not exceed a total of 14 calendar days.
The County Auditor is scheduled to request formal adoption of the Adopted Budget on September 23, 2025.
