a) Request approval and authorization for the District Attorney to apply for the 2025 Human Trafficking Advocacy Grant through the California Office of Emergency Services for funding in the amount of $147,000

 

b) AGREEMENT- Request approval and authorization for the District Attorney to sign the Grant Award Agreement for the Human Trafficking Advocacy Grant and all related documents with the California Office of Emergency Services in the amount of $147,000 (Misc. Agreement 2025-306)

Financial Impact:

This grant is 100% funded by CalOES, there is no fiscal impact to the County.

 

Background Information:

This is our second year with the Human Trafficking Advocacy Grant.  Through this grant we provide victim services to human trafficking victims and those most likely to be human trafficking victims.  We also provide community outreach and education.  Additionally, we are involved in multiple MDT’s with other community partners regarding Human Trafficking.

 

This item was brought before the Board for approval on 10/21/25. The entity name for the grant listed on the original item was the California Emergency Management Agency. Attached are findings requesting approval to update the Proof of Authority to reference the California Office of Emergency Services. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
