Financial Impact:

The increased salary associated with this request will be absorbed by utilizing existing salary savings. The Department currently has salary savings resulting from vacant positions, which are expected to offset the additional personnel costs. Should additional funding be needed, the Department will incorporate the necessary adjustments during the Adopted Budget process. As a result, no immediate additional General Fund appropriation is anticipated.

 

Background Information:

The candidate possesses extensive experience in a related field, including two years in a Brand Inspector's Office, four years as a Predator Control Technician on a military base, and six months as an Animal Control Officer. Their combination of professional experience, specialized knowledge, and field expertise brings significant value to the Department and supports placement above the entry-level step.

 

Personnel has reviewed the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience and concurs with placement at Range 20, Step D, effective 6/30/26, or upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements.
