Background Information:
The Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards Attainment Program (Carl Moyer Program), Funding Agricultural Replacement Measures for Emission Reductions (FARMER) and Local AB 923 incentive programs have been highly successful for many years in reducing air pollution in Tehama County. The FARMER program provides funding through air districts for agricultural harvesting equipment, heavy-duty trucks, agricultural pump engines, tractors, and other equipment used in agricultural operations. The agreement with Circle S Ranch will be funded by FARMER Program funds and will help replace a 1997 Yamaha YFM35FJGY ATV, equipped with a 350cc, four-stroke gasoline engine with a New Electric Polaris Ranger XP Kinetic Premium UTV, equipped with a 110-horsepower battery electric motor.
