Financial Impact:

If awarded this grant, there will be no fiscal impact on the General Fund.

Background Information:

On December 16, 2025, the Board was presented with information available through the 2025 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) program.

At the March 3, 2026, Board meeting, staff presented the projects that meet CDBG eligibility requirements. The Board discussed the eligible project options and provided direction to staff to move forward with the Skyview Water District Project and the Teen Resource Center as the projects to be included in the CDBG funding application.

The resolution, application, and supporting documents presented with this item authorize submission of the CDBG grant application. If the Board does not approve the resolution and associated documents, the County will not be able to apply for the CDBG funding, and the identified projects may not move forward, as no alternative funding sources are currently available.
