FARMER funding and associated agreements are budgeted annually by the District.
Background Information:
The Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards Attainment Program (Carl Moyer Program), Funding Agricultural Replacement Measures for Emission Reductions (FARMER) and Local AB 923 incentive programs have been highly successful for many years in reducing air pollution in Tehama County. FARMER provides funding through air districts for agricultural harvesting equipment, heavy-duty trucks, agricultural pump engines, tractors, and other equipment used in agricultural operations. The agreement with Milky Way Farms will be funded by Farmer Program funds and will help replace a 1984 Mitsubishi MT372 equipped with a diesel-fired, 15 - horsepower engine with a John Deere Gator TE electric UTV.
