a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Chair and the Sheriff to sign and electronically submit the Federal Equitable Sharing Agreement and Certification that allows participation in the Federal Equitable Sharing program of the Federal Asset seizure for Tehama County that shows the equitable sharing activity of Federal Asset Seizure for Tehama County for FY 2026/27

Financial Impact:
Requested action pertains to monies, property, or proceeds collected from Federal Asset Seizure cases under the federal equitable sharing program. Justice funds received pursuant to the Agreement will be deposited into 487-450587 and used in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Agreement. Treasury funds received pursuant to the Agreement will be deposited into 491-4507266 and used in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Agreement.
Background Information:
The Agreement allows the County of Tehama to receive a portion of federal asset seizure monies, property, and proceeds collected. Without this signed Federal Equitable Sharing Agreement and Certification, the County of Tehama would not be able to receive these funds.
