Financial Impact:
Carl Moyer/FARMER funding and associated agreements are budgeted annually by the District.
Background Information:
The Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards Attainment Program (Carl Moyer Program) and Local AB 923 incentive programs have been highly successful for many years in reducing air pollution in Tehama County. This year, we are able to implement the Funding Agricultural Replacement Measures for Emission Reductions (FARMER) Program. The FARMER program provides funding through air districts for agricultural harvesting equipment, heavy-duty trucks, agricultural pump engines, tractors, and other equipment used in agricultural operations. The agreement with Prouty Cattle will be funded by FARMER Program funds and will help replace a 1973 60hp tier 0/uncontrolled John Deere, 401 diesel loader with a 2018 74hp, JCB, 3TS-8T Teleskid loader.
