Financial Impact:
There is no financial impact on the FY 2025/26 General Fund. The funds are being transferred from the AB443 funds.
Background Information:
The AB443 funds will be used to support the Emergency Communications Infrastructure Project by reimbursing costs associated with a structural evaluation of the existing Jail roof and the preparation of a feasibility report assessing its suitability for installation of a new dispatch antenna tower. This evaluation was completed in November 2025; however, the associated fund transfer had not yet been completed. This effort builds upon an initial structural assessment of the existing communications tower at the Jail, which sustained significant damage in 2022.
