On September 22, 2026, the Board of Supervisors approved the allocation of these funds as follows:
• $40,000 to support a County Fire Prevention/Education Officer position within the County Fire Department.
• $36,457.55 to fund the acquisition of 20 swift-water safety helmets, 30 headlamps, first aid and office supplies, three 2026 Honda Rancher 4x4 all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), and a CalTopo mapping subscription to support the coordination and execution of search missions by the Tehama County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team.
Additionally, $90,000 in Title III funding under the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act of 2000 is allocated to the Resource Conservation District of Tehama County. The attached Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) authorizes the Auditor to distribute the allocated funds to the District.
