Financial Impact:
The funds for this position are in the FY 2025-26 Budget Unit 40131, and the salary for this position at Range 22, Step B is $23.18/hr. There is no impact to the General Fund.
Background Information:
Candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and over one year of County experience working as an Assistant Social Worker in children’s services. Candidate’s experience includes carrying caseloads, writing reports, sending out referrals, and possesses interviewing skills with special needs population. Additionally, the candidate is bilingual and is currently in a Master’s Program to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
If the requested action is not approved, the County will lose the opportunity to hire a qualified applicant in this position.
The Personnel Office has reviewed the Other than A Step request and is in agreement with Range 22, Step B appointment effective upon completion of all pre-employment requirements.
