Approve the compensation of sixty hours of accumulated PTO leave, in lieu of PTO time off with pay, and twenty-four hours of accumulated vacation, in lieu of vacation time off with pay, prior to the end of 2024.

Background Information:

Both the employees that are represented by the Joint Council bargaining unit as well as the Agency Manager are eligible to receive pay in lieu of vacation up to 40 hours or pay in lieu of Personal Time Off up to 60 hours, respectively, if the employee meets the requirements specified in their MOU or employment contract. Further, employees that separate from the Agency shall also be compensated for all unused earned PTO leave or vacation.

 

For the 2024 calendar year, two employees of the Agency meet the requirements as specified by the employee’s respective MOU or employment contract, and both employees are requesting to receive pay in lieu. Additionally, one employee is separating from the Agency effective October 19, 2024. As such, total Pay in Lieu is $6,670. Staff has requested that the FY 2024/2025 budget be revised to accommodate the payouts.
