recommendation

a) RESOLUTION - Request adoption of a resolution amending Resolution #2025-074, the FY 25/26 Position Allocation List (PAL), by increasing the FTE for the Law Library Clerk from .40 FTE to .50 FTE, effective 10/5/25

body

Financial Impact:

The Law Library operates out of Fund 410, a special district fund, which is self-sustaining. The Law Library Board of Trustees are responsible for approving revenue and expenditure budgets for Fund 410 and have approved the increased expenses associated with the requested action. There is no impact to the General Fund.

Background Information:

On June 26, 2025, the Tehama County Law Library Board of Trustees approved funding to increase the Law Library Clerk’s allocation from .40 FTE to .50 FTE, effective October 2025. The requested action seeks approval from the Board of Supervisors to make the corresponding change to the Position Allocation List (PAL). The additional hours will enable the Law Library to provide services to the Corning branch as well as expand outreach efforts.

The Joint Council Bargaining Unit has been notified of the requested action and is in agreement.
