Financial Impact:
FARMER funding and associated agreements are budgeted annually by the District.
Background Information:
The Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards Attainment Program (Carl Moyer Program), Funding Agricultural Replacement Measures for Emission Reductions (FARMER) and Local AB 923 incentive programs have been highly successful for many years in reducing air pollution in Tehama County. The FARMER program provides funding through air districts for agricultural harvesting equipment, heavy-duty trucks, agricultural pump engines, tractors, and other equipment used in agricultural operations. The agreement with Crain Farming Operations, LLC will be funded by FARMER Program funds and will help replace a 1993 John Deere 2755 Tractor, equipped with a diesel-fired 88-horsepower engine with a New Kubota M6L-111 Low Profile Specialty Tractor, equipped with a 105-horsepower diesel-fired engine.
