Financial Impact:
Financial impact to the department is not significant. Each code change cycle requires purchasing of new code books and publication of ordinance costs, as required by the code.
Background Information:
Every three years local enforcement agencies must adopt the triennial Title 24 requirements to ensure that all new and existing buildings meet energy, construction and safety standards. The Building Department has the authority and responsibility to enforce the provisions of these laws and to ensure all phases of construction are in compliance with the applicable codes and regulations.
