a) AGREEMENT - Request approval and authorization for the Chief Probation Officer and County Purchasing Agent to sign the Agreement with Redwood Toxicology Laboratory, Inc. for the purpose of providing drug testing services in the total amount not to exceed $25,000, effective 12/1/24 through 6/30/26

Financial Impact:
There is no additional financial impact to the General Fund. Previously appropriated funds will be used to compensate the vendor for services rendered. Budget unit 2037, account 53230-Professional Services, will be utilized.
Background Information:
Our department has relied on Redwood Toxicology Laboratory, Inc. for over a decade to confirm illicit drug levels from client samples. Their services have been instrumental in helping our officers ensure clients comply with court orders. In the past, we have processed payments through purchase orders; however, due to new requirements, we are respectfully requesting approval of this agreement to properly compensate the vendor for both past services rendered and future services.
