Financial Impact:
Fees for services provided by the vendor are in the Department's budgets and are outlined in Exhibit A of the contract. Costs are paid for with Medi-Cal fee reimbursements and Mental Health realignment funds allocated for medically necessary services.
Background Information:
On May 13, 2025, the Board of Supervisors approved Misc. Agreement 2025-125 with Provider Healthcare, LLC for the provision of locating and arranging placements for locum tenens. This amendment No. 1 increases the maximum compensation from $1,000,000 to $1,500,000 and replaces Exhibit A in its entirety to include Primary Care Physicians in the Fee Schedule. This amendment will allow the Department to begin utilizing the services of Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Physicians during staffing shortages or vacations.
