Background Information:
This is a contract renewal. In compliance with SB 80 and AB 79, the Family Urgent Response System (FURS) is a coordinated statewide, regional, and county-level Child Protective Services’ system designed to provide state-level phone-based and county-level in-person mobile response during situations of foster care placement instability. Mobile response teams respond when the statewide hotline is contacted and trained hotline staff refer the case to the local mobile team. The purpose is to provide conflict management and resolution skills to stabilize the living situation, mitigate the distress of the foster caregiver, child, or youth, and connect them to local services to promote a healthy environment for the families.
