a) Public Nuisance Abatement Costs Hearing Pursuant to Chapter 10.16 of the Tehama County Code and Government Code section 53069.4:

 

1)                     HEARING - Conduct Hearing to review the enforcing officer’s report of the amount of abatement costs and to determine whether, and in what amount, the administrative penalty shall be enforced as a lien against the affected property listed below:

2)  RESOLUTION - Request adoption of an Abatement Lien Resolution, making a determination and ordering that the amount of abatement costs relating to public nuisance be enforced as a lien against the affected property, and further ordering recordation of a notice of abatement lien against said property

Financial Impact:

Pursuing assessment and collection of liens arising from unpaid administrative penalties will facilitate the Department's compliance with Chapter 10.16 of the Tehama County Code and Government Code Section 53069.4.

 

Background Information:

Tehama County Code Enforcement conducted an inspection of the Premises on August 14, 2025. The enforcing officer issued a Notice of Violation and Proposed Administrative Penalty("Notice") to the owner(s), and/or occupant(s) of the Premises on August 19, 2025 for a public nuisance under Chapter 10.16. Abatement of the nuisance was ordered as specified in the Notice.

 

On October 9, 2025 Tehama County Code Enforcement sent an invoice requesting payment. No payments have been paid as of March 3, 2026.
