Financial Impact:
These funds have already been directed by the Board to be allocated to the District for this purpose. Funds would otherwise be eligible for other general government purposes.
Background Information:
On 6/25/24, the Board of Supervisors directed staff to allocate $1,000,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act funds to the Tehama County Flood Control and Water Conservation District for a groundwater mitigation program. These funds had previously been identified by the Board for dry well assistance. This agreement will accomplish the requirement for Tehama County to commit these funds before the December 31, 2024 deadline, and the District will proceed with its program.
