Financial Impact:

Funding was received through Senate Bill 111 (SB 111) following the conclusion of the budget process.

Background Information:

In early August the State Legislature passed SB 111 as a part of California’s Budget Act of 2026, which provided funding to the Counties to expedite the voting process.  A total of $50,000 was allocated to Tehama County and divided into two parts.  $42,647.06 was allocated to purchase equipment and bring in extra staff to speed up the counting process.  $7,352.94 was allocated towards outreach efforts.  The transfer reflects the current amount spent and scheduled to be spent on these activities.  The remaining revenue will be recognized as the funds are utilized.
