Of the total amount, $80,000 will be covered by the Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP), with the remaining balance to be funded through AB443 funds.

Flock Safety is a U.S.-based company specializing in security technology, including license plate recognition (LPR), video surveillance, and gunfire detection systems. Flock Safety cameras are capable of reading license plates, cataloging key vehicle identifiers, detecting gunshots, and capturing video evidence to support law enforcement efforts and promote public safety.
The deployment of Flock Safety cameras throughout Tehama County will enhance real-time crime detection capabilities, address current infrastructure gaps and improve communication and coordination among local agencies. These systems enable law enforcement to quickly locate suspects and fugitives, thereby reducing response times and increasing public safety. Rapid identification of potential threats also allows for timely notifications to the community when dangerous individuals are in the area, further supporting proactive crime prevention measures.
