Financial impact of potential actions is unknown, but meetings outside regular hours may include increased staffing costs and utility increases. Services to the public may be impacted by the change of hours.
Background Information:
At the March 5, 2024 meeting for the Board of Supervisors, it was requested to have a discussion of potential evening meetings. This may change public participation by holding some meetings when fewer people are working, and a discussion of the potential benefits and challenges of this was requested.
Historically, the Tehama County Board of Supervisors has held special evening meetings for matters of significant public interest. Due to the nature of this discussion, this discussion was scheduled for the evening to allow input from the impacted public participants.
