Financial Impact:
$263,579 in funding to benefit low-income households and residents from the State Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP)
Background Information:
Fiscal Year 2024-2025 funding will support the continued interregional transit route project, known as "Shasta Connect." This project will support existing TRAX services to better connect the region and serve our residents. This route will also feed the anticipated North State Express Intercity Bus System once the route has been initiated. The Shasta Route significantly improves mobility and air quality and will increase transit use to Sacramento and larger systems. As the North State Express Intercity Bus System comes on-line, routes will be synchronized to flow smoothly into that service. The scheduled route times are Monday through Friday 7:45 AM to 6:50 PM for a total of five (5) round trips.
