FARMER funding and associated agreements are budgeted annually by the District.
Background Information:
The Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards Attainment Program (Carl Moyer Program), Funding Agricultural Replacement Measures for Emission Reductions (FARMER) and Local AB 923 incentive programs have been highly successful for many years in reducing air pollution in Tehama County. The FARMER program provides funding through air districts for agricultural harvesting equipment, heavy-duty trucks, agricultural pump engines, tractors, and other equipment used in agricultural operations. The agreement with Bains Farming LP will be funded by FARMER Program funds and will help replace a 1979 John Deere 2640 Tractor, equipped with a 84-horsepower engine with a New John Deere 5095M Utility Tractor, equipped with a 95-horsepower diesel fired engine.
