Background Information:
The Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards Attainment Program (Carl Moyer Program), Funding Agricultural Replacement Measures for Emission Reductions (FARMER) and Local AB 923 incentive programs have been highly successful for many years in reducing air pollution in Tehama County. The FARMER program provides funding through air districts for agricultural harvesting equipment, heavy-duty trucks, agricultural pump engines, tractors, and other equipment used in agricultural operations. The agreement with California Olive Ranch, Inc will be funded by FARMER Program funds and will help replace a 2017 John Deere XUV560 UTV, equipped with a 16 Horsepower, four-stroke gasoline engine with a New Polaris Ranger XP Kinetic Premium UTV, equipped with a battery electric motor.
