Financial Impact:
There is no direct financial impact to the County.
Background Information:
It is a requirement of the Local Planning Council to establish funding priorities for child care throughout Tehama County identified by zip code. This must be completed annually and submitted to the California Department of Education (CDE) and the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) for potential funding opportunities in the future. This prioritization is accomplished with formulas established by the state and uses data collected from the community. Priority 1 equals the highest child care need in the identified area.
