Carl Moyer funding and associated agreements are budgeted annually by the District.
Background Information:
The Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards Attainment Program (Carl Moyer Program), Funding Agricultural Replacement Measures for Emission Reductions (FARMER) and Local AB 923 incentive programs have been highly successful for many years in reducing air pollution in Tehama County. The Carl Moyer program provides funding through air districts for agricultural harvesting equipment, heavy-duty trucks, agricultural pump engines, tractors, and other equipment used in agricultural operations. The agreement with Loewen Vermiculture will be funded by Carl Moyer Program funds and will help replace a 1952 Caterpillar D4-7U, equipped with a diesel fired 63-horsepower engine with a New Kubota SVL75-3 compact track loader, equipped with a 74-horsepower diesel-fired engine.
